Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your personal IntelSafari guide will welcome you and assist with your transfer to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy your first taste of Africa with a memorable dinner this evening.

After breakfast, depart on a scenic 5.5-hour drive to Kibale National Park. En route, enjoy a leisurely lunch. Known for its stunning rainforest and rich biodiversity, Kibale is one of Uganda’s most celebrated parks. Upon arrival, take a guided walk through the dense forest — an excellent introduction to Uganda’s primate-rich ecosystem.

Today is dedicated to chimpanzee tracking in Kibale’s pristine rainforest. With expert trackers, venture into the jungle in search of wild chimpanzees. Other possible sightings include red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Respectful interaction ensures both your safety and the protection of these remarkable animals.

Journey 2 hours south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After settling in, embark on an afternoon game drive. The park hosts 95 mammal species, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and the rare tree-climbing lions. Your expert guide will take you to the best vantage points for wildlife viewing.

Drive approximately 5 hours to Bwindi, one of the world’s most biologically diverse forests and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive in the afternoon and relax at your charming mountain lodge, preparing for the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure to come.

Rise early for your gorilla trekking adventure. With an experienced team of trackers and guides, venture deep into the rainforest to locate one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 5–8 hours and is moderately challenging. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants — a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After breakfast, transfer by private 4×4 to the airstrip for your scenic flight back to Entebbe (approx. 1.5 hours). Luggage is restricted to 15 kg per person, so pack accordingly. Upon arrival in Entebbe, connect to your international flight home, with unforgettable memories of your Uganda Highlight Safari.

Cancellation Policy

At Intel Safaris, we understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent while covering the costs involved in preparing your trip.

1. General Terms
  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to Intel Safaris.
  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14 business days.
  • Bank charges, service fees, or third-party booking fees are non-refundable.
2. Cancellation Charges
  • 60 days or more before departure – Full refund, less a 10% administrative fee.
  • 45 – 59 days before departure25% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 30 – 44 days before departure50% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 15 – 29 days before departure75% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 14 days or less / No Show100% of the tour cost will be charged.
3. Special Considerations

Certain hotels, lodges, or flights may have stricter cancellation rules. In such cases, the vendor’s policy will apply in addition to Intel Safaris’ policy. No refunds will be provided for unused services or early departures once the tour has commenced.

4. Amendments & Date Changes

Changes made 45 days or more prior to departure are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee. Less than 45 days, changes will be treated as cancellations and re-bookings.

5. Force Majeure

In case of unforeseen events beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, etc.), Intel Safaris reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours. In such situations, we will provide credit vouchers or refunds as per our discretion and supplier policies.
