Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your IntelSafari representative will greet you and assist with immigration and customs. Private transfer to your hotel where you’ll receive your detailed safari briefing. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities.

Fly from Nairobi to Masai Mara. Upon arrival, your local guide will transfer you to your lodge. After lunch, embark on your first game drive — watch for giraffes browsing the acacia trees and a wide array of other wildlife.

Begin with an early morning game drive. The Masai Mara is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino — and a rich diversity of wildlife. After lunch and a short rest, enjoy another afternoon game drive focusing on predator sightings. Your expert guide will maximize every opportunity for wildlife encounters.

Another exciting day of safari exploration. In the morning, follow the tracks of the Great Migration (seasonal), and seek out herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles. Afternoon game drive focuses on spotting elusive leopards and other predators near watering holes.

After breakfast, transfer to Masai Mara airstrip for your flight to Entebbe, Uganda. Upon arrival, your local representative will meet you and transfer you privately to your hotel. Rest and prepare for the next chapter of your adventure.

Fly from Entebbe to Bwindi. On arrival, transfer by private 4×4 vehicle to your lodge at the edge of the rainforest. The rest of the day is at leisure — soak in the beautiful natural surroundings as you anticipate tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. With expert trackers and guides, trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest to locate one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 5–8 hours. Spend an awe-inspiring hour observing these gentle giants in the wild — a truly unforgettable encounter.

Enjoy a guided community walk around Bwindi. Visit local healers, learn traditional crafts, or engage with local schoolchildren. This authentic experience offers a deeper understanding of the region’s rich culture and complements the natural wonders of your safari.

Cancellation Policy

At Intel Safaris, we understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent while covering the costs involved in preparing your trip.

1. General Terms
  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to Intel Safaris.
  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14 business days.
  • Bank charges, service fees, or third-party booking fees are non-refundable.
2. Cancellation Charges
  • 60 days or more before departure – Full refund, less a 10% administrative fee.
  • 45 – 59 days before departure25% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 30 – 44 days before departure50% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 15 – 29 days before departure75% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 14 days or less / No Show100% of the tour cost will be charged.
3. Special Considerations

Certain hotels, lodges, or flights may have stricter cancellation rules. In such cases, the vendor’s policy will apply in addition to Intel Safaris’ policy. No refunds will be provided for unused services or early departures once the tour has commenced.

4. Amendments & Date Changes

Changes made 45 days or more prior to departure are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee. Less than 45 days, changes will be treated as cancellations and re-bookings.

5. Force Majeure

In case of unforeseen events beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, etc.), Intel Safaris reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours. In such situations, we will provide credit vouchers or refunds as per our discretion and supplier policies.
