Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Your IntelSafari representative will greet you and assist with immigration and customs. Transfer privately to your hotel for rest and safari briefing.
Meals: Bed & Breakfast

Fly from Entebbe to Bwindi (approx. 1.5 hours). Please note: strict luggage weight restrictions apply (soft bags only, max 15 kg). Upon arrival, transfer by private 4×4 vehicle to your lodge, nestled at the edge of the rainforest. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Meals: Full Board

Rise early for your first unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. With expert trackers and guides, trek through dense rainforest to locate one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take 5–8 hours depending on gorilla movements. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants. Return to camp to relax and reflect on the experience.
Meals: Full Board

Enjoy a morning guided walk through Bwindi’s extraordinary rainforest. This area is renowned for its birdlife — over 350 species including many Albertine Rift endemics. The walk also offers opportunities to see butterflies, primates, and a wide variety of flora. Spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy additional activities arranged by your lodge.
Meals: Full Board

After breakfast, transfer by private 4×4 vehicle across the border into Rwanda (approx. 3 hours). Enjoy scenic countryside views en route. Arrive at Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Settle into your lodge and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Embark on a full-day gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. After a briefing at park headquarters, set out with your expert guide and trackers to locate the gorillas. Trek duration varies depending on the gorilla family’s location. Once found, spend a precious hour observing their behaviors — an unforgettable wildlife experience.
Meals: Full Board

After breakfast, transfer to Kigali (approx. 3 hours). Enjoy a private city tour, including a poignant visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. After the tour, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight — taking with you the memories of a truly transformative gorilla safari.

Cancellation Policy

At Intel Safaris, we understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent while covering the costs involved in preparing your trip.

1. General Terms
  • All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to Intel Safaris.
  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14 business days.
  • Bank charges, service fees, or third-party booking fees are non-refundable.
2. Cancellation Charges
  • 60 days or more before departure – Full refund, less a 10% administrative fee.
  • 45 – 59 days before departure25% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 30 – 44 days before departure50% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 15 – 29 days before departure75% of the tour cost will be charged.
  • 14 days or less / No Show100% of the tour cost will be charged.
3. Special Considerations

Certain hotels, lodges, or flights may have stricter cancellation rules. In such cases, the vendor’s policy will apply in addition to Intel Safaris’ policy. No refunds will be provided for unused services or early departures once the tour has commenced.

4. Amendments & Date Changes

Changes made 45 days or more prior to departure are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee. Less than 45 days, changes will be treated as cancellations and re-bookings.

5. Force Majeure

In case of unforeseen events beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, etc.), Intel Safaris reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours. In such situations, we will provide credit vouchers or refunds as per our discretion and supplier policies.
